Commonwealth endorses Ndiva Women's Film Festival

The Royal Commonwealth Society, a major Commonwealth body has endorsed the Ndiva Women’s Film festival (NWFF), slated to run from November 1st until November 3rd 2017, in Accra.

Speaking to the press in Accra, Founder and Festival Director of NWFF, Aseye Tamakloe, expressed her appreciation for the endorsement stating, “ 23 years ago, I won first place in the Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition administered by the Royal Commonwealth Society; to be endorsed and supported by them today means the world to me”.

On his part, John Apea, a pioneer of the creative arts in Ghana, and the Africa Head of the Royal Commonwealth Society, commended Aseye Tamakloe for “her contribution to filmmaking in Ghana as a Professor at the National Film and Television Institute and as the Founder of NWFF”.
